Director of Public Policy | Lyft
Timothy Burr Jr. is the Director of Public Policy for Lyft, responsible for public policy and political strategy for all Lyft’s western markets in North America, including British Columbia. He has worked to develop local and state ride-sharing and AV policy all across the West Coast. Prior to joining Lyft, Timothy served as a Deputy District Attorney in the Alameda County District Attorney's Office (in Oakland, CA) for six years, where he prosecuted over 30 jury trials to verdict as lead trial attorney; with convictions for first degree murder, and the attempted murder of a peace officer. Before law school, he worked in the United States Senate as a staff member for both Senators Dianne Feinstein (CA) and Debbie Stabenow (MI) in Washington, DC. Timothy currently sits on the San Francisco Bar Association Barrister's Club Board of Directors, and lives in the San Francisco Bay Area near where he grew up.
